Attendance Policy

In order to receive credit for continuing education classes approved by NCBTMB you cannot miss more than 15 minutes of the scheduled class time.  NO PARTIAL CE CREDIT is allowed by NCBTMB.  Both Tennessee and NCBTMB will reject a certificate that has been issued for less than the approved number of hours.

Cancellation Policy

Classes may be canceled if insufficient numbers of people register for a class.  This is especially important for hands-on classes.  Classes may also be canceled due to weather or illness.  In this case all attendees will be notified as soon as possible.  In the event a class is canceled, any registration fees collected will be refunded or transferred to another future class as requested by the registrant.

Covid Policy

COVID does not appear to be going away.  In order to provide these classes as safely as possible I must monitor the rates of transmission for this disease.  New COVID variants, changes of season, holidays, major gatherings and so many other things can lead to changes in the situation regarding the spread of the infection.  I will only provide classes if I feel relatively safe in so doing.  I will cancel a class if I do not feel I can provide it in a safe manner.  Prior to each class I personally disinfect all door knobs, high contact surfaces, tables, etc. Hand sanitizer and other disinfectants will be available for general use.  Masks will be available for anyone who wishes to wear one.  Masks will not be required unless something major occurs with the infection rates. I will follow any recommended changes suggested by the County Health Department and/or the CDC.

Registration Policy

Registration for a class should be done via the website or directly with the facility that is hosting the class.  Registration is stopped 24 hours before a class is held so that the appropriate amount of materials can produced for handouts.  This time also allows for a decision to be made on whether there is sufficient interest in the class to hold the class.  Hands on classes need enough registrants to have someone to trade services with in the class.  If insufficient numbers of people register for a class it may be canceled.

Fees for a class cover everything necessary for attendance.  No additional fees will be charged.  Payment online can be done via VISA, MasterCard, or Discover.  Under certain situations payment can be made at the door via check or cash.  A receipt will be given for any check or cash payment received.

All registrations require an email address and telephone number (preferably where texts can be received).  This is important in case of last minute notifications must be made or other issues come up.

Registration for online classes will include a link that is sent to registrant at least 24-hours before the class is held.  If you did not receive the link, please notify the instructor as soon as possible so it may be sent again.

Refund Policy

A full refund of registration fees will be given in the event that a class has to be canceled.  The registrant will have the option to apply the registration fee to a future class if they prefer.  In the event that a registrant does not notify the instructor that they cannot attend in sufficient time before a class is held they may not receive a full refund.  All class attendees receive handout materials and certificates.  A fee may be charged if handouts and certificates were prepared for the attendee but they did not notify the instructor at least 24 hours before the class that they wanted to cancel. This fee will not exceed $10.
